Replacement of front and rear hydraulic shock absorbers for Toyota Land Cruiser 100
A few days ago, a Toyota Land Cruiser 100 was serviced at the Garage car service. The problem was that the car was constantly falling on its side. In addition, the shock absorbers leaked. A replacement was required.
The owner of the car turned to our car service for help. Continuing to drive a vehicle with a shock absorber leak could cause the problem to affect other parts, not to mention the need to drive such a vehicle with extreme caution.
Detection of shock absorber leakage may take some time. Therefore, when one shock absorber does not work properly, it transfers part of its load to the other three. And they are not designed for such pressure to quickly fail.
The specialists of our car service checked the car and made sure that all 4 shock absorbers, front and rear, do not work. He had to replace them. After that, I bled the hydraulic system and adjusted the 3D angles (3D wheel geometry).
If you do not change shock absorbers
Defective shock absorbers can cause the following problems:
When passing obstacles (speed bumps, stones, other bumps on the road), the car bounces, and when lowering back, the bottom can touch these obstacles, since the shock absorbers are not able to dampen vibrations.
Silent blocks, bushings, ball bearings also fail over time, as they need to dampen machine vibrations.
The car loses maneuverability on the road, obeys the driver worse, so it can cause an accident.
Timely replacement and repair
Garage Auto Service advises car owners not to delay car repairs if a technical malfunction is detected. Early vehicle diagnosis and troubleshooting prevents damage to other components and assemblies, making repairs faster and cheaper.
